Like Father, Like Son

So apparently Drew has been watching his father too much! The other day this is what he was doing...

Hey, it was a Sports Illustrated and it was the Brett Farve issue. What can I say? This boy's a cheesehead! Haha! On another note we were able to take Drew down to the park last Saturday! It was FINALLY warm enough to do it. We were also watching Haley and Emma (the twins I used to nanny for) so they came with us too!

Drew immediately went right for the slide. He loves them.

He wanted to to down the curly slide....he is brave.

I loved watching him and I can't wait to take him back! He had SO much fun!

Something new....

So, we have just recently found out that we are pregnant with our second child! We are so excited for November 24th!!!! That means we are 6 weeks along so far and so far so good. I have been feeling pretty good, just TIRED!!! We were able to get an early ultrasound done, just like we did for Drew! So, here is the little peanut! 3 milimeters long!

It's funny now.....

So, we have been doing a lot of work lately in our spare room which is also our "office". We just finished our taxes a couple of weeks ago and are now organizing a bunch of stuff. This also includes shredding a bunch of old paperwork we don't need anymore. I was a little nervous that Drew would be afraid of the paper shredder, but he is actually fascinated by it. He will stand there and watch it for a long time! Now....after he's done watching and you walk out of the room for a second....this is what happens!

Hey, he had a blast doing it and he even helped me clean it all up! And he's cute.....and he's lucky he is! Ha ha!

Now on to bigger and better things. This really needs no explanation....

Needless to say, the little booger got in HUGE trouble and got a time out! Kyle said he was lucky that mamaw was holding him when we found it or he would have gotten a spanking too. I think he learned, though, because every time he looked at his hand he said, "No No No." Thank goodness for Magic Erasers....the sharpie came off everything!! Another fun and exciting adventure in the land of the Drew Man!

Being a Mommy

I have to say that there is no greater sound than hearing your child call out, "Mama!" There is no greater feeling than your child's little arms around your neck for a hug. I can't even describe how much I love being a mommy. I was down the hall from Drew's classroom at church tonight and I heard him let out the biggest giggle. I walked down and peeked through the two way window (he can't see me) and saw him laughing at his teacher blowing cotton balls across the table. They were talking about how God made the wind and he loved watching those cotton balls fly across the table and even tried to do it himself! What a little miracle I have been blessed with! I adore him and love watching him grow and change every day!

Here are a few pictures from last weekend when Kyle's parents were in town.

This is at the mall....what a sweet picture of all the Turner boys!

Playing Outside

Well, we had our first decent day out where it wasn't freezing, snowing, or raining so we decided to take Drew outside. I wasn't sure how he would do, but we thought we would give it a try!!

He is playing in his car while mommy and daddy get ready!

Drew and Daddy after they made a snow angel.

These are the piles at either side of our driveway.

Drew is helping Daddy break up the ice at the end of the driveway.

We have had so much snow this winter and we are supposed to get more tonight! Weather.com says that it's only supposed to be 1-2 inches.....but we will see! In other news we have been super busy lately! Last week we got to watch Taylor play basketball and Bo play hockey and then we got to eat at La Estacion! Yummy! Kyle and I were able to go out with some friends of ours on Friday and Saturday night. I felt kinda bad leaving Drew with a sitter two nights in a row, but Kyle and I RARELY go out together, and his babysitters are AMAZING. We have two college girls who are both training to be nurses. They had him in the nursery at church and fell in love with him (who wouldn't), so I asked them to babysit. They are wonderful and I don't have to worry one bit! That's the best part! So, this week we are busy again (as usual), but Kyle's parents are coming to visit this weekend so that will be a blast. I hope everyone is having a great week so far!

A Snow Day

Today we have gotten about 6-7 inches of snow so far with another 6-7 on the way! Yikes!! So, the Turner family and most of southeastern Wisconsin are having a snow day. The Edge and XStream are cancelled. It is the first time in 3 1/2 years that we have had to cancel it because of weather. I am excited because we get to be home all day! There is no pressure to go anywhere and so we can get some things done around the house and relax some too!
Since we really aren't doing too much today I thought I would update you all with some pictures! Enjoy!

Here is Drew watching Wiggles on his little couch.

Drew is "helping" Mommy by organizing the pantry.

Still "helping".

Drew enjoying some yummy supper and having ketchup on his own!
